A little help.
ColdBrew is in development. For questions or help, email coldbrewsupport@gmail.com.
Start and stop a session
Choose Minutes, Hours, or Indefinitely, then Start Session. Use Stop Session whenever you are done. Timed sessions allow up to 24 hours, and +15 minutes adds time up to that limit. Quitting ColdBrew also releases its keep-awake request.
Open or close the menu
Click the eye in your menu bar. Click it again, click outside, press Escape, or use the close button to dismiss the quick menu. Closing the menu leaves a running session active.
Keep nights quiet
In Settings, enable Play ColdBrew sounds and choose your cues and volume. Enable Quiet hours and set your local start and end times. The initial schedule is 10 PM–8 AM. Equal times mean silent all day. Preview buttons intentionally play during quiet hours; a zero volume or your Mac’s mute still silences playback.
Choose your appearance
Settings offers Follow Mac, Light, and Dark. For automatic nighttime changes, use Follow Mac and select Auto in macOS Appearance. Quiet hours control sound independently.
Why did my session stop?
The timer may have finished, or your unplugged Mac reached the selected battery cutoff (20% by default). ColdBrew also ends sessions for serious or critical thermal pressure. Check Activity for the reason. Manual system sleep and other macOS safety behavior can override keep-awake requests. Keep the MacBook lid open.
iPhone alerts
A real Mac-to-iPhone test notification has been confirmed. The native companion is being prepared for version 1.0, with release-build testing still in progress. When released, use the same Apple Account for iCloud on your Mac and iPhone, enable iPhone alerts in Mac Settings, connect with iCloud on the phone, allow notifications, and save alert settings. Use Send test alert on the Mac to check the connection. Your Mac must be running ColdBrew, awake, and online. This website sends no real alerts.
Report an issue
Email coldbrewsupport@gmail.com with your ColdBrew version, macOS version, Mac model, and steps to reproduce the issue. For iPhone alerts, include your iPhone model and iOS version too. Never send passwords or private documents.
